Title: Cannot view or map folders
Post by: Bonedaddy on April 03, 2009, 03:41:03 PM

I am a new user and just installed Buffalo LinkStation Pro Duo.   Install progressed normally until the last dialog box indicated "Buffalo NAS navigator2 cancelled or an error occured".   A call to support was no help (thats another story).  I tried FAQs and that was no help.  Can any one offer some guidance how to correct the problem?  FYI.   The very last message presented indicated the install was complete and successful?   Two icons were placed on my desktop.  One worked and the other just sits there.  Web Admin allows me to configure but PC does not allow me to map due to in ability to see the Linkstaiton.   Im about to return the unit.   Any help is appreciated.  Model number is LS-W1.OTGL/R1, OS = XP.  One more thing when I try to view the default folders Info and Share, only Info is seen.  Oh yeah one more thing in playing around I got an error message I17 "Resinking 1 Raid arry LS-WTGLEA3".   What does that mean.   I checked to web site and the manual as it suggested to do and there is no error of that type listed.

Anyones help is appreciated.

I17 - Resyncing RAID array means that there is a discrepancy between the 2 HDDs on the LS as to staying uniform to prevent data loss. There's no LCD readout on the front of the LS Pro Duo so how did you get what the error code was? What firmware version are you running? Is file and printer sharing enabled on your computer? Did you end up setting the NAS to RAID 1 or 0 when you first set it up? That would explain why your share folder is gone. Please post back the information so we can better assist you.
