After reviewing system status network information,

link speed reports

100 Mbps (Full Duplex)

I can tell it is true. Hooked into linksys gig wireless router ports auto switch 10/100/1000 Mbps.

Tried different ports, no change

Please advise

Try initializing the unit in Maintenance under web user interface.

Thanks, will remember that tip. Lots of good information on this site.

I bought a Nexgear 8 port GIG switch today, powered down the linkstation and others, moved all off the linksys wireless gig router.

After power up, web interface reports GIG vice 100, so I am happy. Happy with the Linkstation and happy to have 8 GIG ports with four GIG on the router for 12 now.

I was beigining to suspect that router any way.

I have a 4TB TeraStation Live, and now an LS-Q 4TB. My LS also seems to "prefer" 100/Half duplex. I updated the firmware to v1.10. If I initialize the LS using the "Reset LinkStation Configuration to Factory Defaults" selection in Maintenance, is any data at risk?

I have my first drive failure on my Terastation (after a power failure and UPS shutdown), and bought the LS to backup data on the TS before I try to swap drives on the TS...
