Post by: okie1211 on March 26, 2009, 08:40:32 AM
was just wondering if anyone else was having an issue with the pro duo 1 terabyte linkstation web admin. when ever i try to click on the media server option it logs me out. i have uninstalled and reinstalled, even installed on a different pc and everytime i click on media server option it boots me out of the web admin. any ideas?

What version firmware are you running?  Recommend running the newest firmware 3.09 is found here http://www.buffalotech.com/support/downloads/

i installed the latest firmware last night. and tried it this morning and it still booted me out. its weird, it lets me access every other part of the web admin page. but as soon as i click on the media server tab it opens the page then logs me right off.

Which web browser are you using? As far as I can tell our office device doesn't have a problem interfacing with the Media Server option.

Try deleting your computer cache.

Disable Pop-ups temporarily on your web browser.

i'm using IE 7 on 2 XP Pro machines and 1 Vista machine. Installed the utility on each machine and it happens on all three of them.

did this and still happens.

by the way it set up using a netgear gateway modem/router. I just find it strange that the only problem is when i click on media server option. every other option works fine. well except that i cant use it with my playstation 3, but thats wasn't what i bought it for anyways.
