Hi all,

i've got a LS Live, which seems like a great product, but i cant get my head around one issue. I have two computers in my house

1) Laptop, connected to network by wireless router, running VISTA home premium

2) Desktop, connected to network by etherned, Also running VISTA home premium

I've mapped the BuffaloLS as mapped network drives on both computers, for easy access.

Now, every time i re-start the Desktop computer, i need to input my username/password on the Desktop, wheras i DONT need to do this on the laptop.This drives me crazy, since some apps like by backup app, can't start until i've manually clicked on the network shares and manually entered the password/username.

Any solution here - i want this computer to have "automatic" access to the buffalo without having to input user creds.

Help!

When you mapped the drives did you choose the option to reconnect after log on?

Hi,

1. Just checking if you have done a Windows Update on your copy of Windows Vista on the Desktop?

2. Clear all cache in your desktop.

3. Goto cmd and run net use . Check if there are other mapped drives or previous login users.

Also, check and make sure that on both computers that the drive is mapped by IP address. If this doesn't work I have a manual fix that might work found here.
