Title: using HD HC250U2 DriveStation with Vista
Post by: reddy1375 on March 25, 2009, 10:10:15 PM

I'm trying to format a 250MG HS250U2 DriveStation connected via USB to a new Vista machine. (I believe the drive is formatted for a MAC)

The Setup disk I received with the drive does not work and I'm assuming its because of the OS version.

The UTILITIES choice gets me to the DISK FORMATTER option but nothing happens when I choose it. Is there another file that will work on Vista?

Thanks!

If the drive-station shows up as a drive.  Right click on it and format it to NTFS.

Unfortunately, the drive is not showing up under MY COMPUTER so I can't even click on it. Any other thoughts?
