Title: Setting up shared folder with access restriction (LS-CH1.0TL)
Post by: crazy4ker on March 25, 2009, 03:26:24 PM

I have tried to follow the instructions in the manual without any luck.

I want to restrict the access on the shared folder (along with other folders) so that you need a password to read/write the files within. I've enabled access restriction on the Shared Folders Setup screen and moved admin into the read/write box. Then when trying to access the folder the "Connecting to LS-CHL***" box appears, however no user name/password combination seems to work (\\LS-CHL***\share is not accessible..................) . I've tried adding a user and a group without any luck.

FYI: I've got a laptop on Vista and PC using XP that I need to access this shared folder.

Dissconnect the old drive and remap it then set the restrictions.
