Title: LS-CHL refreshing and access denied messages
Post by: jaenicoll on March 22, 2009, 11:11:45 PM

I have ran into a number of issues and am beginning to pull my hair out and hope to the love of Brittney that someone can help me out.

I am using 1.07 Firmware on the 1TB version of the LS-CHL. It is connected on a simple home network to my PC running Vista 64. Instead of having a folder called Share, I have folders called Music, TV_Series, Movies et. Perhaps having seperate volumes instead of seperate folders under the Share volume was not a wise idea, perhaps it was. I haven't seen any advice on how to best organise the file structure of the NAS and I would not mind some advice about this if anyone has any opinion. Please note, I mention this not because its a problem necessarily, but because it may have an impact on the answers to the following issues.

I have set each of these volumes with the same Web Access settings and also have the same Group Management and User Management settings yet when I log in to the BuffaloNas site as a user I see some volumes and not others. I have tried restarting the LC-CHL and refreshed the settings on each tab and nothing seem to work. Is this a bug/feature? Am I doing something toopid?

Once I copy files to the LS-CHL over the network from the Vista machine, I am unable to make any changes, additions or deletions to any of the content of the volumes. I get a Destination Folder Access Denied Alert Message which say "You need permission to perform this action".What the heck am I doing wrong?

I hope someone is able to help me.

Jae
