Title: just one issue after another....
Post by: RandyD123 on March 20, 2009, 07:45:23 AM

I can't seem to add any users to the admin group, ONLY the hdusers group. Dam Buffalo......is this thing made for Windows??? I have  no quota's check box

I have a LS-XHL520 1TB and am using VistaU 64.....for the cost of this thing I should have just bought another computer.

You can only set quotas using groups you've created, the other groups are there by default, not really meant to be used for permissions, hence no ability to edit them.

Not true, I have created multiple "test" groups and that option does not exist.

That doesn't address my problem with not being able to add users to the admin group. I am only allowed to add them to the hdusers group.

You certainly can, I just did it a minute ago to confirm.

Just select your group and hit edit to get to this screen.

You can also change what group the users belong to by clicking on the user and hitting edit.

You can only put them in the hdusers group, or any group you've created.

It is not possible to have more than one admin account or add more into the admin group. You don't really want to set permissions with any defaulted users and groups. The admin user/group is only there to log into the web interface and edit settings.

I have sucessfully added myself to the admins group. If I wasn't able to do that then I would not have access to the web interface using MY NAME....OK so not maybe a big deal but I can deal with it.
