Post by: sshreya on March 14, 2009, 05:05:12 PM

Hello there,

I bought Buffalo DriveStation Cmbo - HD-CEIU2 1TB storage drive. This comes up FAT32 filesystem. I didn't eralize the limitations of 4GB filesize in FAT32 befoer I bought this. Is there a way to convert the Filesystem to NTFS, to bypass this limitation? The whole purpose of my purchase was to store video files and now I can't do that.

Please help.

Yes you can format it, though this will cause all data on the drive to be deleted.

Simply, right-click on the disk and select format. If this is Windows then it will automatically format to NTFS.Remeber that formatting a 1TB drive can take 5-7 hours
