Title: Linkstation Pro Duo goes into EM mode after every power off and on

Model - LS-WTGL/R1-V3 Series - Firmware 3.09

Every time the unit is powered off and then on it goes into EM mode.  I have no problem updating the firmware to 3.09 but it has problems responding properly after a few days and I have to power it off & on again.  The problems range from changing to japanese, to web browser doesn't display properly and then can't get a new IP address. Does the unit need repair or does it need a different firmware or what?

Make sure you have copies of the data elsewhere, then force the firmware update. Make sure you check all four Config options, "Rebuild Partition Table" will wipe the drives and redo the partitions. The force update procedure is here:
