Hi everyone,
I know it must be incredibly annoying when someone posts with a single issue problem, but I am not epspecially technically knowledgable and I have been trying to sort this issue with limited success for three days. I have also searched the forums and can't find a recent post relating to this issue, so here goes...(am literally tearing my hair out)
I recently bought an LS-CH500L (EU model), and installed the NAS Navigator software to set the drive up. However, there was a long period when the software setup process was not recognising the drive - saying there is no linkstation on the network.
Then, without any real action on my part, the situation seemed to resolve itself. The drive was recognised and mapped, and it appeared in the NAS Navigator screen as accessible. The auto on/off was also working. I put all my data on the drive and it all seemed to be going well (finally)
Then, last night, disaster struck, and my girlfriend pulled the power lead out of my Windows XP laptop, which is the only computer on the network at the moment. Of course, this forced a power down (battery not connected).
Since then, the drive is not being recognised by Navigator, and is not powering up or down automatically. I have checked my Firewall exceptions, and the NAS Power Manager is in the exceptions, as is the navigator. At the moment I have the power switch set to ON, but I have tried on AUTO (obviously) with no success. however, the drive is still available via the shortcut which I create, and is being recognised by windows - files accessible etc etc.
The Drive is connected to my homehub via a CAT5 ethernet cable.
(I appreciate I am supposed to know the firmware, but I do not know where to find it)
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
Kind regards

Thanks mate.
Bizarrely, all now seems to be working well, with absolutely no intervention from me that I can identify! Just out of interest, when you update the firmware, does it wipe all the data from the drive?
Thanks for the reply, very good of you.
