Title: LS Live missing on network
Post by: jdmncc1969 on March 11, 2009, 03:35:50 PM

Perhaps someone can help with this!  I have a Linkstation Live HS-DH500GL on my gigabit network.  The computers can not see the device as shared folders.  Some Computers see it as a media server, but the Xbox 360 does not.  Any idea how I can get this thing to reliably show up on the network? Is it just a pipe dream to stream video to the Xbox 360 (as advertised?)

I can access the web interface.  The web interface is extremely slow.  firmware 2.11

To access the device from a computer, try Start->Run, "\\ip_address_of_LS" and hit OK, then right click on the share and select map network drive.

Xbox 360 is not DLNA compliant. It uses a mangled UPnP media client, so it might work with the LS, but probably not.
