Title: Drivestation 1TB (CE1.0TU2-EU) Does not power up - HELP!
Post by: Greg_S on March 10, 2009, 06:08:04 PM

Hi, I purchased this CE1.0TU2-EU, formatted it for my Mac, dropped some files on it - all great - and then put it in a cupboard for a month (not powered). Took it out the other day and it will not power up!!!! Green light comes on, spinning/whirring starts, then a slightly louder click and then green light is off. All within 5-10 seconds. This happens when you turn on the mains brick, or if you unplug/replug USB.   HELP PLEASE BUFFALO!

Greg

Not much to do here, I suggest you contact your local tech support to set up an rma.

Thanks for your reply Jason. Is there any way the Power Save mode is causing this unit to power down? How could I check this (I am using a Mac and power save is Windows only as far as I understand)? Thanks.
