I'm also running Vista 64-bit OS.  As with many others who bought Buffalo NAS products, the software delivered with the product is crap.  It's unable to find the device even though I can connect to its webpage, make changes, etc.  I even downloaded files, manually of course.  It would be great if I can get the software to automatically backup my files.

I have the DriveStation Flexnet 500GB version.  I get the same error as reported by Van.  Does anybody have a solution?

Thanks.

Can you guys drag and drop files into the unit without any problems?  Did you guys format the drive?
