Title: Script errors in ie while accessing LS-CHL 500GB over wan.
Post by: cgarcia161 on March 07, 2009, 04:37:20 AM

When ever I access the NAS over http in IE it starts to show my directory and then errors out with script errors.  Script is running to slow and will cause IE to be unresponsive.  I have the latest drivers but did not help.  Unfortunately I have to http because ftp is blocked at my place of work.  Any ideas?

Please provide more info... I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do; access the GUI, web access?

What is the Firmware on the unit, what settings have you set on the unit, what OS are you using on your comp, ect.

By drivers do you mean Firmware? There are no drivers needed for this unit other than for your network card!

Sorry, I was writing this very late and I was sleepy.  When I try to use the buffalonas sight, internet explorer starts spitting up script errors about it running to slow and it will become unresponsive.  If I use and ftp surfer I have no problems at all, but at my place of work ftp is blocked.  I have upgraded to Firmware 1.07.   My share folder supports windows, ftp with no restrictions and web is set to anonymous.  I am using a WHR-HP-G54 Ver 1.4 router.  I have tried making the nas the DMZ, turning off the firewall, I have mapped the port, auto UpnP and disabled https.  Every time I speed check my internet my uploads are around 2.5m.  Some times when I let the script continue it will finally load my dir but it takes around 5min.

Your issue is probably using the UPnP, in general this does not work very well with most things.

Set the LS to be on port 9000 by disabling the "auto config firewall", then forward port 9000 to the IP address of the LS.
