After successfully restoring my LinkStation Live (HS DH500GL) using LSupdater in debug mode, my GUI was now in Japanese. I speak English so I needed to change it. Here's how I did it:
1) When you first start the GUI, The first screen to appear is the logon screen. In the first box, I typed admin, the second box I typed password, then clicked the box in the lower left.
2) The next screen is the Home screen. I selected the 2nd box on the left side of the screen - the one with the page icon.
3) The next screen is the basic screen. In the box located 2 up from the bottom, I selected English (this is the Display Language box) and clicked the button on the lower left of the screen (Apply).
4) Next, I returned to the Home screen (top box on screens left - the one with the computer icon).
5) Next, I again selected the basic screen again (see step 3) Selected English in the Windows Client Language box (very bottom of the screen) and clicked the Apply.
Everything is now in English.
OK guys, I followed the instructions on how to get this back into english, but run into some problems.
When I hit the apply button (after selecting english) it just sits there spinning doing nothing (transfring data from (my IP address for the link station) nothing happens, I waited 10 min, it just doesnt do anything.
Then after some time it comes up with a blank page, (I cant attach the screen shot)
Is there a newer software that is in english?

Reset the Linkstation though the admin page and then try changing the language again.
