Im on XP x64, then printer is epson r285.

Ive tried adding by simply right clicking lp and connect then adding driver.

Also adding 192.168.x.x\lp and linkstation\lp

Still no luck.

Here is what I did on XP Pro:

1- I had my printer connected first through USB and functioning

2- I connected my printer to the Linkstation

3- I added a printer inthe folder "Printers and Faxes"

4- When prompted I chose to discover the printer

5- I was then asked to select a driver either from a list available in XP or from a given location; I did not find my printer in the list and the location (folder or CD) did not work; so I selected the closest one from the XP list

6- When done, I went to the Printer's properties, selected the advanced tab, and from the drop down menu, next to the "New driver" button, I selected the driver that was installed in step 1

That worked for me.
