Title: Permissions
Post by: spindoc on March 02, 2009, 03:17:16 PM

I posted a new one becuase the last two were going in the wrong direction.

I'm getting an access denied problem when I try to access files on my LS 1000gl.

I am able to access/read/write/delete files in safe mode.

Last time I wasn't, but now I can. I'm copying all my files over to the desktop now, its going to take abou 12 hours.

If I am able to access the files in safe mode, what does that tell you?

I can't access from the same username in regular mode. I have admin privledges. What could be causing me to not be able to access my files? I keep getting "the file is being used by another process"

Safe mode loads only programs and drivers necessary for basic operations, so it appears that there is some program that is messing with your connection. Unfortunately I'm not sure where to begin... but the fact that it works in safe mode tells us that it's not a problem with the Linkstation or Windows itself.
