Title: HD-HCU2 access light is red and I cannot access the drive

   The access light on my HD-HCU2 drive is solid red and I cannot access the drive - this is bad, isn't it???

Probably, yes.  If you open up a run box (in windows xp just go to start>run, vista hit the windows key and R) and enter  diskmgmt.msc and then hit ok it should bring up disk management.  Does the drive show up there?  If so you may want to perform a reformat to try to correct the issue, although this will delete your data.  If it doesn't show up in disk management you may want to contact us to create a replacement order, at our tech support line (866) 752-621.
