I hope someone can help with this problem......
I have the linkststion mini set up at work, and there are about 50 folders set up with web access for various staff members. I only need to access 12 folders from home via web-access. 10 folders work perfectly, but the other 2 folders are a problem.
1. I can see them in my list
2. I can open the folders & sub-folders & see the files within them
3. I can upload files to them
4. I can delete files from them
However, when I try to open the files, I get: "The Webpage cannot be found" / "HTTP 404 Not Found" - results are the same irrespective of browser used. Every other folder works perfectly.
Is there a limit on the number of folders/sub-folders used?
Is there a restriction on folder names?
There shouldn't be any restrictions on file or folder names that I can think of off the top of my head. Just in case, have you tried changing the folder names to remove any special characters or spaces that may be in them?
I will have to try and duplicate this issue.
I have seen problems with folders containing several hundred files (close to 1,000 or more than 1,000) taking a long time to list and sometimes timing out, but aside from that I haven't seen too many issues with the web access service.
You may want to try FTP access in the meantime, if access to the folders is critical.
Hiya
I ran into this when files have an "#" in the name. Rename them with no # and it works fine.
Cheers
