Title: HD-CE1.0TU2 Help needed
Post by: Simmy on February 23, 2009, 08:37:35 AM

Hello, sorry for this question but I'm a little stuck.

I've just bought the HD-CE1.0TU2 drive and it seems great, but I have a problem. I'll be using this primarily in Mac, so I've formatted it in HFS+.

I've read however that there's a problem with the firmware on this drive, so I followed the instructions to download the latest firmware but it's a windows only .exe drive.

I'm guessing there must be a way for me to upgrade the firmware on my drive, but how do I do it? Can I update an HFS+ drive in Windows?

Because I've reformatted, my drive is totally  empty. Can anyone advise on how to upgrade the firmware, or if I even need to?

Thanks guys!!

You'll need to format it back to fat32, put it on a windows machine, update it, then put it back on the mac and format it for a mac.
