Title: Can I download older firmware?
Post by: CorePrime on February 19, 2009, 09:08:36 PM

Since I upgraded the firmware, the "Power Management" function doesn't work.  Can I download previous version of the firmware?

Linkstation LS-CHL F/W 1.06

I asked a similar question for the Linkstation EZ 320 and the response I received was basically that it can't be done by the user. I was advised to send my unit to them and they'd replace it with a new unit. I'm not too happy with that option and won't be taking them up on it.

For the LS-CHL you can go back to a previous firmware if you follow the force firmware procedure. You can find this in the knoweldge base. But most likely you just need to go to maintenance>intitialization>restor to factor defaults. That option wont delete your data but will clear the firmware of any settings that could be causing problems. That or you could just try reflashing it with the current firmware by also following the firmware force procedure.

Hope this helps
