Hello,

well i have a problem that i can't solve.

My Link Station - WTGL/R1 V3 Series went into EM Mode after a power failure. Since than i can't get it out of that stasis.

Firmware update i heared everywhere causes more problems than solves so i thought i should ask here maybe some1 could help me.

Thx

When the unit is in EM mode, it's essentially waiting for a firmware update to be pushed up to it from the updater utility.

The firmware update is the next logical step, given the condition that the unit is in.  Downlaod the updater Here.

Once downlaoded, unzip this updater and run the updater program within.  It should take care of the rest automatically.

While there is always a risk of data loss or causing futher damage when updating any device firmware (hard drive, cell phone, router, NAS, etc), this risk is minimal (less than 1% chance) and in most cases the firmware takes without any problems.

Sadly this didn't work. Well the updater starts and all though the Drive has dissapeared from visibility list and in the firmware update i need to select the drive......also on USB it does not appear....like USB is dead or he can't see it.

Getting a little stressed what to do now.

Tried all even uninstalling and reinstalling the software on the PC though same...drive cannot be found.

Is the diagnostic light coming on on the front of the unit?
