Title: WLI-CB-G54HP - "driver may be corrupted or missing"
Post by: Disassembler on November 21, 2008, 01:47:14 AM

I use Windows XP. I installed the BUFFALO WLI-CB-G54HP Wireless LAN Adapter (PCMCIA) according to the instructions in the quick setup guide. After installation, I get the message

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

In the device manager, WLI-CB-G54HP is marked by an exclamation mark.

I reinstalled, tried both the older and newer driver that were on the installation CD, also the newest driver from Buffalo's website.

The led lights on the adapter have never lighted up so far - I don't know if they're supposed to.
