Hi
I am not a 'techie', but hopefully some can help me with some simple advice.
I have recently purchased a LS CH2.0TL-V2 NAS drive. I plugged it in to my broadband router, and in to some powerline broadband extenders, at the end of which was my new Samsung Smart TV. Everthing was working fine - I could watch films from my NAS drive on my Smart TV.
But then I decided to 'clean up' the folder names of my films on the NAS drive. Any folder names I changed (eg deleted additonal text I didnt want to show, such as the name of the person who had ripped it, its definition etc) no longer show on my Smart TV. All of the folder names I didnt change are still showing on my Smart TV.
I have the latest firmware on the NAS drive, and I havent made any other changes to the network, NAS drive, or TV.
Im sure this is a simple fix, so I can see the folders, and therefore the films, of the folders I have renamed - can anyone help, in not to technical language?
Thanks
I take it you are connecting to your linkstation via your smart TV by using the media server function on the linkstation? If this is the case then you need to log into the admin section of the Linkstation using your internet browser and where you setup the media server there is an option to update the database (Refresh now). You can select to have this auto update if you wish by having the auto update enabled option ticked.
thank you very much for your help - I've done that, and everything has now 'reappeared'.
