Title: Lost password for LinkStation Pro LS-VL 2TB
Post by: JeffCunningham on June 02, 2013, 05:21:29 PM

I reset the password a long time ago and now can't access the LS. NASNavigator2 sees the drive on the wireless network and says it's in "Emergency Mode" (EM55B).

I have searched and found related posts but the software I've seen that will reset the pwd is for Windows computers and I have a Mac.

My son's football film for years are stored on the device.  Very greatful for any help retriving those films.  Thanks, Jeff

LinkStation Pro LS-VL.OTL

If its in em mode then just download the latest firmware for the linkstation and reinstall it.

Is there a way to install firmware without the device's admin pwd?  Could you provide brief instructions?

I suppose this thread will just "go away" as so many others on this forum do.

Is there a way to reset the admin password on an LS-V2.0TL or not?  For a Mac user?
