Post by: nihon94 on May 30, 2013, 09:13:53 AM

Hi,

I am new here and need help badly.

OS: Windows vista home premium 32 bit Japanese

Baffalo External drive (USB 1)

Today when I wanted to use document saved on external hard drive the drive did not open. However, when I connect with usb I can see green lamp (power), when I click Icon in My compueter I can see the used and un used space. If I use error check tool it work. even if I use Disk management tool of windows I can see external hard drive. But when I click to open only empy space I can see.

I wonder whta is preventing the saved date to be opened? or how could I open? any way to back up data on drive?

Note: I did check the same drive on Windows Xp computer and faced same problem. I do got other two Baffalo external drive( USB 2. ) woriking fine.

Any qucik help will be appreciated.

Thank you

Can you read/write other files ok to the drive?

Does the used space show that you have the file still on the drive?

Could your file be set to hidden?
