Title: Corrupt/Missing files after power failure on LS-WVL525
Post by: vanjwilson on May 26, 2013, 07:02:12 AM

I keep my iPhot o library on a share on my LS-WVL525. Recently, I was upgrading iPhoto on my Mac laptop, and while the new iPhoto was doing whatever new processing it needed to do to upgrade the photo library, the power to our house was knocked out.

After the power came back, the Linkstation checked itself and didn't give any error messages. However, iPhoto took several passes before it said it could repair its XML index file. Also, it didn't find all the photos we know we had. (Whole chunks of months are missing, and I now realize taht my backups are incomplete)

Is there a disk utility that we could use to try to find those missing files, even if it's just the raw photo files, on the Linkstation?

I would appreciate any suggestions.
