Title: [Help]Smart UPS BK650-CH frequent communication failure with Buffal NAS LS-QVL
Post by: seanyang2006 on May 26, 2013, 06:51:07 AM

Connecting the BK650-CH UPS with a NAS Buffalo LS-QVL which running on a Linux,,I met the following issue after running some hours( duration < 3 hours):

   1.  Enalbe the "Synchronization with UPS" option on the admin WebUI;

   2.  "USB Connection Type" only has one option which is "USB Port(APC Style)"--So ,I guess this buffalo NAS should have passed a sort of certifcation with APC UPS as the screenshot:

               ups_setting.jpg

   3.  Max 3 hours after "Synchroniztion with UPS" has been enalbed successfully, the NAS will enther a "fake-crash" state which means all the LEDs display correctly so I can say functionalities should be ok ,meanwhile I CAN PING the NAS successfully via PC, but I CAN NOT login to its WebUI and I can NOT power off the NAS by pressing power key--so I can't ensure the embeded functionalities is working correctly or not;

    4. The only thing  I can do is to remove the plug from the outlet at this time.

    5.  After the NAS has been re-powered on, I can check the kernel log as attached below;

   6. If I disable the "Synchronization with UPS" , the NAS can work correctly for at least 2 days( the lognest duration I tested )

  The ps information in the kernal:

   The kernal log is:
