Title: Terastation TS5200D, Backup to AmazonS3
Post by: MikeDiyer on May 15, 2013, 01:59:55 PM

Hello All-

We are using this Terastation as our work server and I would like to back the files up using AmazonS3. I added a shared folder and set it up as the backup target folder. I have created an Amazons3 account, and associated it with the backup target folder. Amazon added (2) folders to my backup folder: wbfs and amazons3. From what I've read, you have to put items into this amazons3 folder to have it copy to the website. Terastation won't let me select the amazons3 folder as my backup target folder....??? Am I doing this wrong?

Thanks, Mike.

....And, why do you have to put files in a special folder to upload to Amazon S3? What if you want your Terastation to continuously back up its entire self to Amazon S3 (for instance, if you're using the Terastation as a small business server)?
