Title: Upgrade the harddisks on Linkstation Pro Duo LS-WV2.0/R1
Post by: chris_crossley on May 07, 2013, 06:23:58 AM

One of my hard disks has died again so am looking to upgrade the storage and buy two new harddisks. Would like to go to 4TB but dont know what disks to choose.

What drives are on the current 4TB, 6TB and 8TB models and will they work on My machine?

I've heard 4TB WD red drives work well with the unit.

This link may help, drives for the enclosure models should work in regular models.

Thanks for the help.

I can confirm that i am running two new WD RED (Nas drives) 3TB in RAID 1 on my LS-WV2 With no issues.

Just follow the video on-line to install diskless nas and be patient. Make sure your on the latest firmware as well.
