Title: Unwanted services keep activating on TS5400R (FTP, AFP)
Post by: t4l on May 06, 2013, 10:30:31 AM

I purchased two TeraStation 5400R units to use in a replication configuration. I initially configured the two units the way I wanted them, but I find that when I log into the web GUI, services I disabled are restarting on their own.

I have twice disabled all services except SMB - but when I logged into the management page today, AFP and FTP are enabled.

What gives? If I can't trust the TeraStation to retain settings, I don't want to trust them to retain my data.

What firmware are you running?

2.31-1.14 - I think.

The TeraStation shows the following text when I click the Update tab:

"This TeraStation is using the latest firmware."
