Title: LS-WVL8E5 RAID array 1 can not be mounted
Post by: netxm on April 21, 2013, 11:29:45 AM

I'm getting error RAID array 1 can not be mounted, although both hard drives pass SMART and generic hard drive tests. Is there any way ro restore array without loosing the data ?

I think it was RAID 0 as both my drives were combined into one partition.

RAID0 = No redundency, your data is gone.

it's not gone, because both drives are not failed. I can run any data recovery app and it will get me my data back. But thank you for your help it was VERY helpful.

So have you actually attempted this and gotten your data back?

yes, I can access data, although it's not organized the way it was and all file titles are just numbers. The only problem here is damaged RAID - not hard drives. And I believe it's NAS fault...
