Title: What is the difference between LinkStation Pro™ LS-XHL and the LinkStation Live™ LS-CHL
Post by: UP on February 09, 2009, 01:13:01 PM

I am trying to decide which Buffalo Linkstation to buy. Two models look very good, but I can not find out what are the differences. I check the comaprising chart but the features are the same!

What is(are) the difference(s) between the LinkStation Pro™ LS-XHL and the LinkStation Live™ LS-CHL?

Thanks in advance!!!

It appears that they are identical in functionality and features, except that the LS-XHL has a better processor, so it has faster transfer rates.

The new LS Pro is a major overhaul. Much faster, new GUI, etc. The older unit had AD support, which the new one does not have.

Oliver, you're close. The LS-CHL does not have AD support.

Otherwise, you're completely correct. The LS-XHL has a much faster processor ( giving it better transfer rates ), and a completely redesigned GUI.
