Title: LS-WVL Can i start from scratch?
Post by: Anubis on April 04, 2013, 03:09:38 AM

My LS-WVL has a few issues in which i've posted in FAQ 2 and 3.

Is there a way i can just tell this stupid unit to start from the beggining, as if it were straight out of the box?

At the moment i can't do anything with it.

No firmware update.

No TFTP boot.

No web admin.

if both HDDs are reporting bad sectors then their are physical issues on the HDDs, contact your retailer for a replacement.

I find it hard to believe that 2 brand new HDD stright out of the packet are both defective. 1 i can believe, 2 is a stretch.

Is the hard disk issue stopping me from updating frimware and TFTP?

These HDD drives have been checked today on another system and indicate no damage or bad sectors. It is not a HDD issue

then the main board itself is at fault.

sounds like the hard drive controller - if that has become defective, the system wouldn't be able to tell if the defect is HD controller, or hard drives.
