Post by: KimTom on April 03, 2013, 03:23:33 AM

Hello,

today my 3 days old Linkstation send me a lot of emails.

First:

+++

DISK Error Notification

HDD error occurred

Disk(s) the error occurred:"Disk 1"

(sda) WRITE sector:2002952 count:1

Disk writing error

Some data may not be recoverable.

Immediate change of disk is recommended.

[LinkStationInformation]

LinkStationName: LS-WXL2DC (LS-WXL)

Time: 2013/04/03 08:11:46

Setting Screen: xxx

++++

Then

++++:

RAID Error Notification

HDD error occurred

Target array:RAID Array 1 (md2)

RAID array can not be mounted.

[LinkStationInformation]

LinkStationName: LS-WXL2DC (LS-WXL)

Time: 2013/04/03 08:11:59

Setting Screen: xxx#

++++

Then a lo of more

Disk writing errors and last message was

"RAID array rebuild is complete."

Now I updated Firmware feom 1.62 to 1.64. All is working fine. No USB Drive is attached. Should I bring brink back the NAS to shop and change to a new one, or is it a "normal" error?

Sorry I'm new to a NAS drive.

TIA

Kim.
