Title: Dropped Linkstation live please help!
Post by: radiant777 on February 08, 2009, 07:02:31 PM
I am stationed in kuwait and recently I dropped my linkstation from a height of about 6 inches.  I tried to turn it off but it just flashed blue for a few hours.  I unplugged it and then turned it back on.  It flashed blue then a red blue - purplish color.  It then started flashing blue again and hasnt stopped for a few hours now.  It is not visible on the network.  Please tell me I havent broken it...I have things stored on it that are irrreplacable especially out here in the middle east.  What can I do to fix it?

What are the patterns of he flashing red light? like 6 quick flashes then a pause or two long flashes and 5 short flashes? That'll clear up what the problem is. Most likely you would need to take apart the hard drive and see if the hard drive became disconnected.
