Title: ls-wx2.0TL/R1 recovery
Post by: kathyh on March 17, 2013, 05:06:47 PM

Hi,

I'm having problems retrieving data from a dying linkstation pro duo. Mode raid 1.

It had various raid errors, so i started to back the data up...then....

It wouldn't boot.
 (flashing blue light)

I started it in EM. Tried to update firmware (Said it couldn't reboot)

On manual reboot, it started fine. No errors. And firmware is up to date. 1.64. But, when i look at the files, it will let me get a few directories in, and then no further. (The pc searches but just bounces back to the previous directory.)

Copy and paste does not work.

Backup using the web settings produces a error log. (a disc backup error has occurred)

How can i get the data off it?

I've done a restore/ erase.

Can i plug one of the discs direct into the pc? (think i read i need linux to read them?)

Or would it help to do an tftp boot? i'm not really sure what that does...

many thanks
