Title: Buffalo Ministation 3.0 MAJOR PROBLEM!
Post by: dannybbb on March 12, 2013, 02:55:27 AM

I bought the 1TB Ministation 3.0 around a month ago, backed up around 4GB of data and have barely used it, when I went to plug it in yesterday, it was working then began making a screeching sound, I then ejected it successfully and safely and now when I plug it in my mac is not recognizing it at all, not even in disk utility. The blue light is on solidly and flashes when first plugging it in.

Can anyone help on this matter at all? The data on the drive is very importand and I'm very dissappointed that its already had it after hardly any use at all?

thanks :)

try it on a different MAC/PC with a different USB cable, if it still does not appear in disk utilty on the MAC or disk management in Windows then the internal HDD is faulty.
