I installed this buffalo external drive 3 days ago, using a eSata cable. It happenned 3 time already, I'm having the drive openned and been using and suddentlly my computer don't see the drive exist anymore. For example this morning, I was unzipping a file that was on the Buffalo drive. target folder was also on Buffalo and boom, a message for the zip program, file does not exist. Go to windows explorer and the drive is not there anymore.
The only way to get Windows to see the Buffalo external drive is to power off Buffalo and power on again. On Buffalo, the blue light are on, it's not hot or anything, it seems to be working perfectlry well.
In properties it is called Buffalo External HDD (Turbo PC) Driver version is 6.1.7600.16385
I did installed Turbo PC software that came with the installation program.
I did tried the backup software that also came with the installation software but I uninstalled it the first day I had prpoblem. Currently I have no backup sopftware running, the purpose of this External disk is not for backup anyway.

I guess nobody has an idea on my problem.
I keep having it though, in Windows log event I see an error saying \Device\Ide\iaStor0, did not respond within the timeout period.
Anybody had this error before? Any known driver issue?
