Title: Remote station
Post by: yomp on February 28, 2013, 03:44:50 AM

Not sure if this is place to post or whether its already out there or whether it can be done but......

I've been running a link station for the last 4 years and I have to say its been a great piece of kit.

Even better since my phone company upgraded my line to fibre optic. Web access has never been quicker.

However, I use the link station to back up my work files in my office and have it set so I have mirrored drives in case one fails. My worry is that if my computer room ever caught fire then I would lose the lot.

My thinking is to have another link station or latest equivilent that can be set up from another location ie. my home and I can syncronise between the 2 units so should one ever get destroyed I still have another.

I'm currently subscribing to dropbox to give me off site storage access but don't really like this option.

Any thoughts or recommendations appreciated.

I'd also like to know this.

In my Linkstation Duo (fw 1.57) there's an Webaccess Connect option under Web Service Support that supposedly can backup a selected folder to a remote NAS but I would like to be able to backup the whole drive. Is that possible at all?

Looking at other threads no one seemed to have solved this...
