Title: TS-RVH12TL/R6 Boot Fail
Post by: fshake on February 24, 2013, 08:04:32 AM

My shop has inherited this a gutted, no hard drives,  TeraStation  - TS-RVH12TL/R6.   I am not an IT systems tech but a multimedia developer with some IT knowledge.  I have come by two other manufacture servers in similar state and only had to replace drives.  I am guessing the firmware had the necessary files to boot and then walk me through set up.

Infuriately the  TS-RVH12TL/R6  seems to need an OS.  I have been to the down load site and see the firmware up date but no nothing like an OS.

I called tech support and even offered to pay for replacement drives with the OS installed.  I was told no.

Can anyone help me or I have basically got a boat anchor?

Thanks

Fred
