Hi everybody,

I have been experiencing a problem with my ps3. I am currently using a linkstation LS-WXL 2b which is recognized by my ps3.

However, when I attempt to view the files by folder, it reaches a point where it will not open any more subfolders. So far, I have been moving the files to a higher point in the directory but this is getting annoying. Please help! THanks

the ps3 isnt capable of browsing files on the NAS only browsing the media servers library.

depending on which section of PS3s XMB you are browsing your nas with it will only show folders containing compatible media.

e.g if you go through Videos > Videos > By Folder > ...

and you have a folder there with no compatible video files it wont show up.

how many items do you have in your media library?

I am sure that the folder is shared, my problem seems to be that the PS3 has a limit on how many levels of subfolders I can access.

sorry i misread your initial post, i thought you said moving items up the tree didnt work.

just done a quick google, PS3 has a limit at around 7-8 folders deep. not sure why? :-/

i guess you'll just have to re-organise your library, or tag all your files so you can access it e.g. "By Album"
