Title: Windows 8 Authentication
Post by: moulton on February 14, 2013, 02:32:26 PM

If this is answered elsewhere, let me know.  I have a Terastation Pro, one of the older units, and I have it configured for "Delegate Authority to Terastation".  It's just been easier for me at home to not setup a domain, and everything has been fine for years with Windowx XP and Windows 7.  Just added a Windows 8 desktop at home.  When I try to authenticate to a secured share on the NAS, I get prompted to enter a domain login, but since the NAS isn't in a domain I can't login.  I've tried using \{user} to blank out the domain, but that won't work.  How do I access the Terastation share using a login that doesn't have a domain?  Is there a recommended third-party tool that I could use to create a network share with the right login (like Network Drive Manager, which doesn't work either)?  Thoughts?
