Title: Kernel 3.3.4
Post by: quoc on February 13, 2013, 08:40:08 AM

Hi, I recently purchased the LS-WVL

I would like to run OpenVPN. I tried to load the tun module

root@Mai-Nas:/dev/net# modprobe tun

FATAL: Module tun not found.

My Nas

root@Mai-Nas:/dev/net# uname -a

Linux Mai-Nas 3.3.4-88f6281+ #1 Mon Sep 10 18:10:35 JST 2012 armv5tel unknown

Could I get access to the kernel 3.3.4 to compile the module?

Thank you

Routing the device is not supported on this forum as it voids the warranty, you might wanna google "buffalo NAS central" for this information.

Davo,

Thank you for the reply. I understand that the warranty will be void.

I was actually on http://forum.buffalo.nas-central.org

and someone suggested I ask for Kernel 3.3.4 source. Is this possible to get the source? Do I need to write to Buffalo Technology?

Sources of Kernel 3.3.4

ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.x/linux-3.3.4.tar.gz

And you need to compile on armv5tel architecture or do cross compiling.

Buffalo device does not contain any c(++) compiler or other developer tools.

Firmware sources of parts under GPL licence:
