Title: Linkstation Mini failing
Post by: danielreyes74 on February 12, 2013, 09:39:02 AM

Hello,

after some months having linkstation mini running on RAID1 when I connected I got a message that 1 drive failed.

I could still access data but I decided to switch off and on the next day and from there on I am not able anymore to see the linkstation mini on my MAC, it does not show up on NAS Navigator anymore.

When switching on my Linkstation MIni, sometimes it ends up with flashing red led 6 times or it just keeps flashing the linkstation letters in blue for hours.

Any idea what I can do ? I would like to get access to my data, which supposedly are on the second disc which was working still.

I also have a second identical Linkstation working fine - maybe I can try changing discs from one to another unit , as it seems that the one with problems is not booting anymore ?

Best regards,

Daniel

You will need to get a windows pc and then follow FAQ 3 of 5 in the storage section to TFTP the unit. There is no TFTP image available for the MAC.
