Post by: Hackerjac on February 06, 2013, 07:52:14 AM

I know its and oldia nas, but i was thinking about expanding the raid since 4 TB in raid 5 aint much when storing BD files, so is it possible to use 3 or 4 TB disc in this unit ?

no u-boot + the linux build doesnt support gpt

You can fit 2tb non advanced format hd's

though you cant buy them anymore

The QVL supports 2-3-4 TB hd's

The biggest HDDs this unit would support would be 4 x 2TB HDDs

Any HDD above 2TB uses an advanced format. the sectors uses used are 2k where as "older" HDDs use 512bytes.
