Title: Problem with Portable Drive, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."
Post by: ZBrink on February 05, 2013, 11:30:25 PM

Hello,

I have a Buffalo Portable MiniStation Extreme.  I have an entire folder full of movies that I can no longer access.  I have never had any problems with the drive and this problem just started last nigjht.  When I click on the folder, a box pops up and it says, "Location is not available, G:\Movies is not accessbile. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable".

What can I do?

Thank you,

Zack

Have you tried it on a second PC? If so and the results are the same then you will need to format the HDD as the partition is corrupt.
