Title: Capturing Video from VHS to MPEG saved in to a folder on BuffaloNas TS5400 corrupts the file
Post by: rookeydooks on February 05, 2013, 07:19:39 AM

I am trying to convert VHS tape to MPEG saved in to a folder on my BuffaloNas TS5400 ormat but the file always ends up corrupt.

To confirm, I can convert VHS tape on to a folder on my Windows PC fine.

Also, if i convert VHS tape to MPEG saved into a folder on my Windows PC then copy the file to the BuffaloNas TS5400. When i then try and convert the newly created MPEG file to iso OFF the BuffaloNas TS5400 teh file corrupts.

At the moment to get a successful .iso for DVD I have to convert from VHS tape to MPEG on a Computer, then copy the file across to a second Computer to convert the MPEG in to an ISO image for DVD.

I need to find a centralised storage solutionso i can convert VHS straight to the NAS, then pick up the MPEG file on the NAS using a second PC to convert to .ISO.

I hoped the BuffaloNas TS5400 12GB would do the job but it seems than coverting to the Nas or off the Nas corrupts the file.
