Title: HD-CEIU2 firmware update fail
Post by: oldwww on February 01, 2013, 11:12:50 AM

I have a drivestation hd-ceiu2 hanging off a windows 2003 server; this drive continues to have corruption issues.  After much searching, I found a firmware update that is supposed to fix the hibernation issue that is probably causing this repeated corruption.

I downloaded the file, hd-ceu2-v300ww.zip, extracted and launched... the executable opens up however, once launched it can't find this drive...  search function doesn't seem to work...  no errors, nothing.  Yes, the drive is plugged in, accessible, etc.

Is this firmware update not applicable to this drive?  I believe I had to enter my serial number to grab it from buffalo.

Any ideas?  Thanks

The firmware update you are referring to is for the HD-CEU2 not the HD-CEIU2.

Thank you for your response.  I'm surprised, as I specifically selected the HD-CE1.0TIU2 following the links from this site:  //http://news.softpedia.com/news/Buffalo-Acknowledges-DriveStation-Issues-Releases-Firmware-Upgrade-103827.shtml which led me back to Buffalo, plugged in my model number and the download appeared...  it specifically mentions my model in the 3rd paragraph.  Ah well, money down the drain with this one.
